ABOUT US

VALLE RUIZ
Registered Osteopath

valle 3.jpg

I qualified in 2002 from the British School of Osteopathy in London

and I am registered with the UK General Osteopathic Council. I am a member of the Institute of Osteopathy and the Scottish Osteopathic Society.

I have 16 years successful clinical experience in Aberdeen. Initially I worked as an associate within a multi-disciplinary clinic and the last 9 years running my own clinic within a GP’S surgery.

I moved to Perthshire to raise my family and I have been delighted to re-establish my clinical practice in a part time bases in Auchterarder following Len’s retirement in September 2018.

I use a wide variety if techniques which I use depending of condition and I adapt depending on each and every patient. I consider myself a structural osteopath and I have a firm believe on the benefits of spinal manipulation in conjunction with massage, stretching and exercise advice.

KELLY BIFFEN
Registered Osteopath

I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Masters of Osteopathy. I am registered with the General Osteopathic council and am a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. I have worked across the central belt, in clinics across Edinburgh, to Glasgow and Auchterarder.

What I enjoy most about my job is meeting people from all walks of life and helping them move towards their health goals. No two days are ever the same. I treat a range of patients from those suffering with headaches and neck pain to foot pain and everything in between. Using an array of different techniques depending on the patient and their presentation. I would describe myself as a structural osteopath although will use gentle and cranial techniques where these are appropriate. I consider patients as a whole and adopt a biopsychosocial model to my practice. We, as humans are complex, and as such so are our pain presentations.

I live in West Lothian with my son and little dog. After moving to the UK at the age of 10, from Zimbabwe, I’ve never felt more at home since settling in Scotland after graduating.

I have come to Osteopathy through a rich career or travelling, farming, cooking, natural building and yoga.

I have finished my studies with the College of Osteopaths in June 2023,  and I am both fairly new to the area and the newest member of the team.

With a background in science, I have a strong focus on educating patients on the cutting edge of bodywork research, while also honouring the inherited wisdom of this manual profession.  My treatments focus upon improving how your body moves and functions, while also equipping you with the empowering tools needed for going forth, tackling pain and moving with greater freedom.
